Forget about the Himalayas. Global warming is still a big problem in Germany these days too. Or the lack of it, I should say (Rostock got creamed yesterday).
Everyone is still waiting to hear when the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is going to give an Entwarnung (all-clear signal) here too, I guess.
“The United Nations’ expert panel on climate change based claims about ice disappearing from the world’s mountain tops on a student’s dissertation and an article in a mountaineering magazine.”
The revelation will cause fresh embarrassment for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which had to issue a humiliating apology earlier this month over inaccurate statements about global warming.

Hermann Beobachter,
This has a been a fantastic season for those of us who find the entire unraveling of the IPCC both humorous and warranted. Boy, we haven’t heard a peep from Al Gore lately, have we? Hey, at least this “global warming” is serious enough to allow Ian over in Hamburg to strap on his skates and glide around the Alster. Too bad the blades of his skates don’t understand the difference between climate and weather.

And too bad nobody cares what you think, Jeffrey, least of all me.
Hi, Ian.
Hey, c’mon, why the frown? Be happy, big fella. That cold front over Germany just HAS to leave at some point.

no! no! no! SUMMER weather is proof of Man-made Global Warming and WINTER weather is proof of Man-made Climate Change!
Get the official line straight!
Joe,
Thanks. I always get mixed up on weather and climate. I need to write that official line on my hand, so I don’t forget.
