“Demonstratively Setting Politics Aside”

More objective German journalism in action here again, people.

When a reporter then asked him, “What about the impact on the election, sir?”, the president answered soberly, unselfishly and energetically. “The election will take care of itself next week,” he said.

…Romney said he wanted to get rid of FEMA, the organization proving to be so important at the moment, calling disaster relief spending “immoral” when the focus should be on deficit reduction. “Every time you have an occasion to take something from the federal government and send it back to the states, that’s the right direction. And if you can go even further, and send it back to the private sector, that’s even better,” he said.

  1. Hi!

I’m working for a new website based in Berlin – flowsee.com. It’s a content based sharing network which allows users to create a profile (with tabs for events, details, work, contact etc) as well as to post pictures, videos, articles and any link or text.

It is a completely open and totally democratic community where – through ´like´, ´dislike´´, ´comment´and ´compliment´options – the content flows and evolves like a conversation.

At the moment the majority of our 1000 daily visitors are English speakers based in Berlin looking for jobs, events, new art, music, inspiration and procrastination. Several small Berlin based businesses have already created profiles and have started posting their products, services and events. The majority of these are artists, handicraft shops, small companies (eg. Yoga) and small magazines or blogs.

We also have a jobs in Berlin page where jobs which may interest English speakers are posted.

I think it would be a great place for your website to attract new visitors to Berlin and those already here who – for some reason – don´t know about you yet! You could post links to listed events, new exhibitions and articles or whatever else you want to share with the world!

If have any questions or suggestions please let me know otherwise I hope to see you soon on our pages!

  2. He also managed to work “leaning forward”, his campaign slogan coordinated with MSNBC’s advertising tag, into a storm related press conference. t was pathetic and deeply unprofessional.

  3. Joe, I never watch the news channels, but today I was watching an episode of NCIS on the USA Network and saw an ad for MSNBC’s election day coverage with the tag “Lean Forward.” Jesus H. Christ. Could they be any more transparent? Hey, I wonder if Jesus’s middle initial is really for “Hussein”?

“Hey, Barack, meet Jesus. You guys have a lot in common. First of all, you have the same middle name, Hussein. Oh, and, you know, both of you are the saviors of all mankind and all that.”
