U35, Germany’s most modern 212A class submarine, was commissioned in Eckernförde today. Hmmm. I wonder if this has anything to do with the 100 year anniversary of the Lusitania sinking?

I don’t know if you’ve seen it. Erik Larson’s new book, “Dead Wake” is about the sinking of the Luisitania. It’s quite well researched, and describes life aboard the U boats with as much detail as the passenger liner.
