Sorry, but do you really need a search tool for that?

It would be much more efficient to develop a search tool to find the tiny handful of ancestors who weren’t in the party.

New online search tool in Germany reveals if ancestors were Nazi Party members – In partnership with American and German archives, the weekly ‘Die Zeit’ has launched a searchable tool granting access to more than 12 million documents, cataloging the bulk of Nazi Party (NSDAP) memberships from 1925 to 1945.

Roots

Merz woos Trump with invitation to German ancestral village – The chancellor appears to want to appeal to the American president’s German ancestry in order to improve frayed relations.

Check out this pre-Trump hysteria film report about this village (Heinz came from here too). Start watching around 34:50. It’s positive. It’s friendly. Times (and attitudes) change.

German Roots?

What? Like hair roots? They look like they could have been developed in a German laboratory to me.

Trump

Now we know why this guy rubs so many of us the wrong way. His real name is actually Trumpf. Or it could have been. Sorry, I can’t find a German equivalent for Donald (they even call Donald Duck Donald Duck over here, in case you were wondering).

The ancestors of the “anti-immigrant” crusader Donald Trump come from a small village in western Germany. The documentary film “Kings of Kallstadt” explores the modest roots of the family’s real estate empire.

Frederick Trump immigrated to the US in 1885.
