That means “vaccine nationalism.” Now, what that might mean in English I have not the slightest idea. This guy is always coming up with odd word constructions.

Coronavirus: Germany warns against ‘vaccine nationalism‘ – Nations must work in a spirit of cooperation rather than selfishness in the fight against coronavirus, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier stressed. His appeal came at the start of the World Health Summit in Berlin.

“No-one is safe from COVID-19; no-one is safe until we are all safe from it. Even those who conquer the virus within their own borders remain prisoners within these borders until it is conquered everywhere.”

But Germany will have a vaccine “in the next months” and that’s OK. OK.

Germany ‘optimistic’ about having coronavirus vaccine soon – Germany’s health minister has said he is “optimistic” the country will have a vaccine “in the next months, and certainly in the next year.” However, he warned the number of new infections among young people was rising.

Spahn warned Russia had not carried out sufficient broad testing and said that there was relatively little data available on the vaccine.

Why should they trust them any more now? Should a vaccination against COVID-19 ever be available, I mean.

According to a French online survey of parents in five European countries, Germany has a relatively high proportion of people who refuse vaccinations, when compared with the other nations; nearly 3% absolutely refuse to have their children vaccinated. The German Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA) says that around 20% of the population is skeptical when it comes to vaccines…

Unlike in some EU countries, in Germany it has always been up to the individual whether they want to get a recommended vaccine.

“The idea that compulsory vaccinations will be carried out in the future is quite widespread among conspiracy theorists.”
