German evacuation planes land in Berlin – Germany’s Bundeswehr military said on Monday that it had successfully flown 313 people out of Sudan, with a fourth plane carrying more evacuated citizens taking off later on Monday.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said over 400 should be evacuated after the final plane lands.

One Afghan guard was killed and three others were injured in the battle, which also involved US and German forces, the German military said on Twitter, without specifying whether the dead Afghan was one of the Taliban fighters deployed to guard the airport.
