He’s just a suspect for now.

Just because he was already known to Austrian authorities as an Islamist and purchased his weapon illegally the day before in Salzburg and his shooting rampage in Munich occurred on the anniversary of the Palestinian terror attack at the 1972 Munich Olympics in which 11 Israeli athletes were murdered and in the immediate vicinity of the Israeli consulate doesn’t really mean that he was a real Islamist terrorist or anything. Let’s wait until all the facts are in.

That’s where this attack took place. No joke. You can’t make this stuff up, people.

An attack at a festival in a German city kills 3 people and seriously wounds at least 5 – An attacker with a knife killed three people and seriously wounded at least five late Friday at a festival in the western German city of Solingen, authorities said.

Witnesses alerted police shortly after 9:30 p.m. to an unknown attacker having wounded several people indiscriminately with a knife on a central square, the Fronhof. Police said the perpetrator was on the run, and they had only very little information on the man so far.

They said they believe the stabbings were carried out by a lone attacker.

PS: Solingen, famous in Germany for its knife manufacture, is sometimes referred to as the “city of blades” here.

Red marks the spot.

Berlin bans red triangle symbol used by Hamas to mark targets – Berlin has banned the inverted red triangle symbol due to its use by Hamas and their supporters to mark enemy targets in videos and graffiti.

The motion passed in the state senate said the scarlet arrow icon represents an immediate threat to Jews and to people committed to the freedom and security of Israel and should be banned at protests and in the context of the Middle East conflict.

The symbol has been used to target pro-Israel academics and politicians, including Kai Wegner, the Berlin mayor who ordered the eviction of pro-Palestine protesters from the city’s Free University by police.

“Kai will pay” was graffitied on the wall of a university under a red triangle.

Expanded border controls introduced temporarily for the championships prevented 900 people from entering the country between June 7 and June 13, the Sunday paper said.

Germans demand that their government restricts migration to prevent further attacks after an Afghan knifeman killed a police officer and stabbed five others at a political rally – Sulaiman Ataee, 25, launched a frenzied attack in Mannheim city centre on Friday, stabbing well-known Islam critic Michael Stuerzenberger, police officer Rueven L, 29, and several bystanders in a horrific incident which was live streamed on YouTube.

Residents in the city in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg are outraged over the attack, with many demanding stricter rules on immigration.
