I Want That Blue Screen In The Middle

I’ll give you five bucks for it. I mean euros.

Tegel

Will they be auctioning off what used to be your airport soon too? I mean, if this lockdown madness continues much longer?

For Sale: Own A Piece Of Berlin Tegel Airport – Many were saddened when Berlin’s Tegel Airport shut its doors for the last time in November 2020. However, you can now own a piece of the historic airport as everything from chairs and screens to bus washing systems and snowplows from the historic airport are being auctioned online by Dechow.

Berlin Tegel Airport’s equipment is being sold following the closure of the airport in November. The airport had been serving the city of Berlin alongside the Soviet-era Schönefeld airport to the south of the city.

At the end of October, Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) opened on Schönefeld Airport’s site, meaning that the capacity of the old Tegel Airport was no longer required. This was especially the case given the current colossal drop in air traffic prompted by the current aviation situation.

“Incorrect,” Not Fake

Even though it was fake news. But still. At least everyone knows the report was “incorrect.”

Virus

Everybody except the Germans, of course. You know, state TV and all that? But everybody, even the Germans, do know now what happened with this latest AstraZeneca EU moral outrage show. The EU placed their orders three months later than everybody else, the contract was a “best effort” contract, meaning they would do their best to deliver but could make no guarantees. In other words, the EU bureaucrats made complete fools of themselves, as usual, only this time they documented it in public so everyone else could take turns easily pointing it out to them.

AstraZeneca: German reports on low efficacy on over-65s ‘completely incorrect’ – The British-Swedish pharmaceutical giant said German media reports claiming that the vaccine had an 8% efficacy rate in people above 65 were “completely incorrect.”

German Of The Day: Besser, Schneller, Weiter!

That means better, faster, further!

Masks

You know, like in wear better masks? Be faster than the others when it comes to restricting and regulating your citizens? Go further and ever further into debt? Where no man has ever gone before kind of debt? You know, stuff like that?

Germans are told to wear better masks – Germans will be obliged to wear medical-grade masks in shops and on public transport until Valentine’s Day under tighter lockdown measures.

Most schools are likely to remain closed and soldiers will be sent to carry out rapid tests in care homes as the government tries to suppress the more contagious British variant of the coronavirus.

Angela Merkel had sought even tougher restrictions yesterday during eight hours of wrangling with regional leaders, but her appeal for a national night-time curfew was rebuffed.

Lockdown, Lockdown Light, Lockdown 2, Mega-Lockdown…

Angela Merkel is preparing her subjects for the next phase of effective government measures against COVID-19: The Mega-Lockdown.

Lockdown

Still remember, my fellow Americans? It has been a few weeks after all. As mainstream media repeatedly preached to us about Germany having the Corona pandemic under control?

It sure is reassuring to know that people like Angie & Co. are from the government and they’re here to help.

Merkel wants ‘very fast action‘ against virus after record deaths.

While Germany’s total deaths per capita since the start of the pandemic remain far lower than in the United States, its daily per capita mortality since mid-December has often exceeded the U.S. rate.

“The virus can only be stopped with additional efforts.”

Nearly One Percent Of German Population Already Vaccinated!

And we didn’t order nealy enough vaccine. And we’re out right now. And we will have to extend this latest lockdown into February, March, maybe into May.

Vaccinations

But don’t worry. We’ve got everything under control.

Germany battles one of the toughest pandemic stages — health minister – It will take months for the benefits of the vaccination drive to kick in for Germany as a whole, according to Health Minister Jens Spahn. He warned the lockdown would need to be extended into February and perhaps beyond.

Large-scale benefits of the vaccination drive still months away.

The True Religion

In Germany: The state.

Church

Do what we tell you to do or else. Amen.

Coronavirus: German police raid church service with over 100 maskless worshippers – Police said they arrived on the scene to find dozens of churchgoers flouting coronavirus lockdown rules that ban singing and require people to keep their distance.

What? We Could Have Been Worrying About This Weeks Ago!

The Panic Police are simply not what they used to be, folks. There’s just too much to panic about these days, I guess.

Panic

The new coronavirus variant discovered in Britain seems to have been present in Germany since November as doctors detected it retrospectively in samples of an older patient who later died, Die Welt daily reported on Monday.

Specialists at the Hannover Medical School (MHH) were able to determine the virus variant B1.1.7 in samples of the patient who had medical preconditions, the newspaper said, citing the regional ministry of health in the state of Lower Saxony.

Corona-Mutation schon seit November in Deutschland.

Syringeworthy

Stunning and brave or something.

Flight

German pilot Samy Kramer has traced a giant syringe in the sky, flying 200 kilometers to remind people about the start of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Europe.

“There are still relatively many people opposing the vaccination and my action may be a reminder for them to think about the topic, to get things moving.”

German Of The Day: Verbindlich

That means binding. You know, as in mandatory?

Tests

Although the German government has said “there is no obligation to be inoculated” with the new vaccine against coronavirus now being distrubuted, the head of Germany’s Lufthansa expects that mandatory innoculations will soon be the rule for long haul flights. Then they’ll just work their way up, I mean down, from there.

Vaccinations will be free and available to everyone from mid-2021, when the priority groups are expected to have finished vaccination campaigns. There is no obligation to be inoculated.

As Long As The Other Third Goes First

More accurate polling results just in!

Vaccine

Coronavirus: Two-thirds of Germans willing to receive COVID vaccine – A poll has shown a large majority of people in Germany want to receive the vaccine which is due for rollout on December 27. Nevertheless, more than half of the survey’s participants were concerned about side effects.

Yeah, right. Nice try, though. Try less than one in five willing to receive the vaccination and more than 80 percent concerned about side effects instead.

More than half of the respondents — 57% — said they were concerned about the potential side effects of being inoculated.
