Earlier this week in Berlin, a cyclist was declared brain dead after an ambulance couldn’t reach her on time. Berlin police blamed the delay on a traffic jam caused by a road blockade by protesters from theLast Generation group. Police filed charges against two of its activists for failing to render assistance and obstructing persons rendering assistance.
“We did not expect that an entire media system would turn against us.”
Or at least I assume that’s what these people have been doing.
Otherwise they wouldn’t have glued themselves to the road with it. Am I right or am I right?
“It’s absolutely crazy to stick yourself to the road with superglue,” admits Lina Schinkoethe.
So that’s precisely what she then proceeds to do. Stay away from this stuff, kids.
German Climate Activists Aim to Stir Friction with Blockades – Schinkoethe is part of a group called Uprising of the Last Generation that claims the world has only a few years left to turn the wheel around and avoid catastrophic levels of global warming.
Maybe this latest climate conference will finally “save the planet” for once already. Maybe. Try 26 and counting.
Or maybe fewer and fewer doomed planet dwellers are interested in taking part in this mass psychosis* anymore. Maybe. Nah. There’s certainly no maybe about that.

Germany’s deadly floods were up to 9 times more likely because of climate change, study estimates.
So that means if we can just get the climate to stop changing then the likeliehood of deadly German floods will be nine times less likely than it is at the moment? Well, what the hell are we waiting for? Make it stop changing already. Somebody.
Record rainfall that triggered deadly floods in Western Europe in July was made between 1.2 and 9 times more likely by human-caused climate change, according to a new study.
The study, conducted by 39 scientists and researchers with the World Weather Attribution (WWA) project, also found that the most extreme rain was a once-in-400-year event, and that climate change increased the intensity of daily extreme rainfall by 3% to 19%.

And this in a country that already takes about half of what you earn.

Germany: Climate activists, cyclists oppose autobahn expansion – Cyclists and climate activists across Germany have defied autobahn construction, arguing that more roading and relentless car traffic violate urgent global climate rescue goals.
The German Greens are notorious for this. Whenever they are doing well in the polls, which is the case at the moment, they say something so revealing, that is, so ridiculous about their policies, that they single-handedly manage to turn this trend around.
This time the shot may have come from Robert Habeck, the Green boy boss who was edged out of the running as head honcho by the Green girl boss Annalena Baerbock. How much he resents this we’ll probably never know but in a talk show last night the possibility of raising the price of gasoline as high as 60 euros per liter (per liter, not gallon) was addressed. You know, to make the world a greener place and save humanity and all that? Under her leadership, of course.
I’m not sure but I can’t imagine even the greenest of German Green going along with that one. Unless they’re really green behind the ears.

Heavy snowstorm pounds Germany, upends travel – A snowstorm and strong winds pounded northern and western Germany on Sunday, forcing trains to cancel trips and leading to hundreds of vehicle crashes. Police said 28 people were injured on icy roads. Climate Change just ain’t what it used to be.

And some even maintain that the climate has never not changed. No, for real.
But this here is only weather. Meaning it is unreal. Or fake, if you prefer. Snow in February? In Germany? What a topsy-turvy world we now live in, folks. When will these capricious shifts in weather, I mean climate patterns ever end? Somebody do something about it already.
Germany braces for extreme winter weather – DWD, the German Weather Service, forecast heavy snow and icy temperatures this weekend. Officials said non-essential journeys should be avoided as a number of train services were axed.
Is not all that complex, really.
Germany remains the “country of prohibitions.” Why? Because Germans like them. „Verboten ist, was nicht ausdrücklich erlaubt ist.“ Whatever is not expressly allowed is forbidden.
In truth, Germany’s salvation complex is deeply and culturally ingrained, and has a track record for giving rise to the kind of blind activism that typically hurts stated objectives in the end. As Chancellor Angela Merkel battles to keep the lights on for households and businesses barely coping with record-high energy prices thanks to the much-hyped Energiewende, it is clear that German’s hamfisted attempt at a speedy energy transition is the most tragic example of environmental zealousness to date.
