Experts Frustrated?

Well, we certainly don’t want that, do we?

It’s a terrible thing for experts when “misunderstandings” still persist. It makes them look bad. And that would only cause them more frustration.

Experts frustrated as German footballer says he has not had Covid jab – Immunologists say Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich is mistaken and vaccine misunderstandings persist.

I have concerns about the lack of long-term studies.”

As American As Apple Pie

That good old Greyhound Bus. Or at least it used to be. Now it’s as American as FlixBus.

FlixMobility, the $3 billion-German transportation startup that has doubled down on long distance buses and slowly and quietly gobbled up transit lines and operations across Europe, today announced a big move to raise its game in the U.S. The company announced that it is acquiring Greyhound Lines, the iconic U.S. bus network, from U.K.-based owner FirstGroup. Flix said the deal — which includes a vehicle fleet, trademarks, and related assets and liabilities — has an enterprise value on a debt-free/cash-free basis of $46 million, with an unconditional deferred consideration of $32 million with an interest rate of 5% per annum alongside that.

The World May Think Germany Is Hunky-Dory

But you can bet that’s only because the pollsters didn’t bother to ask any Germans.

Woke Germans (the only ones who count) love to hate Germany more than woke Americans love to hate US-Amerika (AKA The Banana Republic), if you can imagine that.

Soft Power: Germany Gets Record-High Approval From World – The world’s approval of Germany’s leadership during Chancellor Angela Merkel’s last full year in office in 2020 hit a new record high, not only for Germany, but for any global leader in more than a decade. The 52% median approval rating for Germany’s leadership in 2020 towered above ratings for Russia (34%), China (30%) and the U.S. (30%).

Damning Press Reports

CNN actually got that right for once. If they wouldn’t have got him fired with this damning press report, they would have got him with another one.

German media group fires BILD editor after damning press reports – The German media group Axel Springer said on Monday that it has fired the editor-in-chief of the BILD newspaper, Julian Reichelt, for failing to “to maintain a clear boundary between private and professional matters” and being “untruthful to the Executive Board.”

That this guy could have survived as long as he did is the real story. His paper printed damning, un-woke, politically incorrect reports all the time. It was real journalism, in other words. He had to be cancelled at all costs, you see. That it took so long should gives one hope for the future.

Merkel Germany Still Has Merkel Migrant Madness Under Control

Not. Nor will they get it under control once she finally leaves.

Everybody but the Germans know that everybody knows they can come to Germany knowing the Germans know they won’t and don’t know how stop it, you know?

Germany still top destination for asylum-seekers in Europe – The number of asylum applications in Germany has risen again this year. Along with traditional routes through Greece, Italy and Spain, Belarus has become a major migration route in the last few months.

Stricter Lego Gun Control Needed

In Germany.

And bow-and-arrow control too, while you’re at it. How about better crazy control? Could we try that for once?

A teenager triggered a large scale police operation after a restaurant owner mistook a toy gun he was carrying for a real weapon.

A witness raised the alarm after seeing the 15 year old, who was wearing a camouflage outfit and holding what appeared to be a rifle, running up and down the street in the southern German town of Lindau.

“Of course, we had to go immediately,” an officer from Lindau police told Lindauer Zeitung.

It Can’t Happen Here

Election fraud. We’re not in the Banana Republic of Amerika, after all.

Or can it?

Berlin’s Constitutional Court to review election results – After a messy Election Day that saw ballots moved around the German capital during a marathon, the results are to be reviewed — focusing on two districts.

The OSCE has yet to issue its full report on the election. Roughly one in 10 polling centers — 207 out of 2,257 — had election irregularities. That represents over a hundred more stations than Berlin’s interior minister said in an initial report last week.

“That is a number that should scare and frustrate us all,” Michaelis said previously. She has resigned following the failures.

Shadowy

And highly unprofitable for Heckler & Koch & Co.

The Shadowy, Homemade Weapons Community Just Keeps on Growing – The right-wing extremist attacker from Halle had numerous homemade weapons with him on his shooting spree. But their quality was poor. Others, though, are perfecting the reliability of 3D-printed weapons – and have moved on to rocket launchers.

German Of The Day: Vermasselt

That means botched.

Merkel’s botched succession: how Germany’s leader failed to keep her party in power – Longstanding chancellor accused of neglecting CDU and losing support of party’s rightwing.

The CDU stopped being conservative, or rightwing if you prefer, long ago. And it’s all her doing. It’s called the Merkel Method: She takes the wind out of her opponents’ sails by becoming more Green than the Greens and more Red than the Reds (SPD). The downside, of course, is that by doing so over the years she turned the CDU into them.
