“On The Rise”

Just like racism, anti-Semitism, CO2, shark attacks and so much more, “social inequality” is on the rise in Germany.

Social inequality in Germany is on the rise – Germany’s poor are getting poorer, and the rich richer. A new government report has made clear how wide the country’s social divide is growing.

The odd thing about this is I can’t think of a time when social inequality and all the others weren’t on the rise. It’s all so very alarming. It sure is reassuring to know that this rise isn’t a classic journalistic device used to inflame and generate alarm to bring in higher ratings and increase advertising revenue for greater profit. Otherwise it would be hard to take headlines like these seriously.

The Next Imaginary Disease

In Germany. It’s called “COVID Fueled Racism.”

The Media Brain Police crank these out so fast I can hardly keep up with them, folks.

Has COVID fueled racism? Germany sees dramatic rise in complaints – Germany’s anti-discrimination agency has a recorded a 78% rise in calls for help since last year. That is more than ever before, with the Black Lives Matter movement and the coronavirus pandemic seen as drivers.

Out through the night and the whispering breezes
To the place where they keep the imaginary diseases

Bavarians Test Positive For Beer

Sort of.

But there’s a Helles at the end of the tunnel.

Bavarians were able to enjoy a tall beer in the spring sun Monday in several areas, as some outdoor beer gardens reopened in the southern German state.

Bavaria had an overall seven-day average rate of increase of 119.5 new cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 people, but areas below 100 cases per 100,000 were allowed to reopen their iconic beer gardens.

Fully Vaccinated Germans Enjoy New Freedoms

All thirty or forty of them.

Everybody else better stay on their locked down toes, though. Or else.

People who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 are exempt from many restrictions in Germany from Sunday after the government passed new legislation to restore some freedoms.

He’s Not A Racist

And everybody here knows it. His problem is that he’s not a Green. He says reasonable, grown-up, real-world things all day long.

That’s why he is “controversial.” That’s why the Greens have to kick him out. It’s like the SPD all over again with their heretic, Thilo Sarrazin. If you don’t follow the party line you’re history. Die Partei hat immer recht. The party is always right, especially when it’s left.

Germany: Greens to oust Tübingen mayor over racist comments – Members of the environmentalist Greens party have overwhelmingly voted to remove Boris Palmer from their ranks. The mayor had used a racial slur against soccer player Dennis Aogo.

Angela Merkel Is A Lot Of Things

But brain dead isn’t one of them.

“The protection of intellectual property is a source of innovation and must remain so in the future.”

US-Germany rift as Berlin opposes plan to ditch Covid vaccine patents.

Germany says waiver would inhibit private sector research.
Opposition to Biden plan threatens to deadlock WTO talks.

“The limiting factors in the production of vaccines are the production capacities and the high-quality standards and not patents.”

“A Global Hub For Pandemic And Epidemic Intelligence?”

Good Lord. Is there any way one could make that sound any creepier?

“Ve must immediately pass this on to the Zentrale in Berlin!”

WHO, Germany launch new global hub for pandemic and epidemic intelligence – The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Federal Republic of Germany will establish a new global hub for pandemic and epidemic intelligence, data, surveillance and analytics innovation. The Hub, based in Berlin and working with partners around the world, will lead innovations in data analytics across the largest network of global data to predict, prevent, detect prepare for and respond to pandemic and epidemic risks worldwide.

“I am delighted that WHO chose Berlin as its location and invite partners from all around the world to contribute to the WHO hub.”

“We Help People In Need At Home”

People in need of more high explosives and new Kalashnikows, for instance.

Germany outlaws Islamist organization Ansaar International – Interior Minister Horst Seehofer has banned the Düsseldorf-based Islamist association on suspicion of financing terrorist groups abroad such as the Palestinian Hamas and Al-Shabaab in Somalia.

“Some aid projects, however, fall directly within the sphere of activity of the terrorist organization in question.”

“Freedoms For Vaccinated People?”

Are you expecting applause for that? Doesn’t that imply that there will be unfreedoms for those who aren’t vaccinated?

In Germany’s egalitarian society some are are more equal than others, it appears. And it won’t just be here in Germany either, of course.

COVID: Germany presses ahead with freedoms for vaccinated people – The German government has agreed to allow more freedoms for people vaccinated from COVID-19, or those who show resistance after recovering from the disease. The measures could be passed this week.

Everything Is Going As Planned, Tesla

Maybe not as you planned, but still.

This is only the first official delay. The best is yet to come (think Berlin’s BER Airport). You picked the wrong country, Elon.

Tesla’s Berlin gigafactory to be delayed another 6 months: report – The German trade magazine Automobilwoche reported Sunday that production will not begin before the end of January 2022, and that Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk officially gave approval for the six-month delay.
