CNN actually got that right for once. If they wouldn’t have got him fired with this damning press report, they would have got him with another one.

German media group fires BILD editor after damning press reports – The German media group Axel Springer said on Monday that it has fired the editor-in-chief of the BILD newspaper, Julian Reichelt, for failing to “to maintain a clear boundary between private and professional matters” and being “untruthful to the Executive Board.”

That this guy could have survived as long as he did is the real story. His paper printed damning, un-woke, politically incorrect reports all the time. It was real journalism, in other words. He had to be cancelled at all costs, you see. That it took so long should gives one hope for the future.

That means “riding black.” That is, using public transportation without having a ticket.

Or at least that’s what it used to mean before the Woke Folk took control of Berlin’s public transport operator. There are no racial connotations with this word unless you want there to be so now there are and that’s why its use has been verboten.

Berlin public transport operator BVG will stop using the German term “schwarzfahren” (or “blackriding”) to describe travelling without a valid ticket, it said on Friday.

The decision to discontinue using the expression, which is common in colloquial speech, implements a recommendation from the Berlin Senate’s diversity programme, a spokesperson told broadcaster rbb.

He’s Not A Racist

Migrants

When “Germany” debates something, especially “terminology,” they will do so until the cows come home. And then leave home again. And then come back home again. And so forth.

For 15 years now, the term used by German statisticians and politicians alike to denote foreigners and their descendants has been “people with a migration background.”

That was the label given to people who weren’t born into German citizenship. And to people whose mothers or fathers were not born German citizens. Today, that applies to a quarter of the population.

After two years of discussing how Germany could better acknowledge its status as a society of immigration, a SPECIALIST commission of 24 politicians and academics appointed by the government has submitted its report to Chancellor Angela Merkel. One of its recommendations is to stop using the terms “migration background” or “immigrant background.”

People should use the term “immigrants and their descendants,” commission chair Derya Caglar said. “In my case, this would mean that I am no longer the migrant, but rather the daughter or descendant of migrants.”

You may think that the rest of the world hates us, my fellow Americans – and indeed they do – but they also blindly copy anything and everything braindead we do.

Sauce

Take Zigeunersauce, for instance. That means “Gypsy sauce.” And because the word Gypsy, like the names Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima and yada, yada you get where I’m going with this, is one of those names we do not speak unless we are racists, it can no longer be used as a product name here in good-old Germany. The firm Knorr will now be calling their racist Gypsy sauce Hungarian-Style Bell Pepper Sauce instead.

“Same great taste, half the racism!”

German Of The Day: Mohr

That means Moor. As in Moor wacky BLM bullshit.

Mohr

Moors were “the Muslim inhabitants of the Maghreb, the Iberian Peninsula, Sicily, and Malta during the Middle Ages. The Moors initially were the indigenous Maghrebine Berbers. The name was later also applied to Arabs.”

They were also black. You know, dark-skinned people? Or at least that is what the word Mohr is associated with in German. This, of course, has now led to a great big giant world-shaking problem in Berlin. Yawn.

What’s in a name? Berlin wrestles with past in metro station row – Transit authority to rename slavery-linked Mohrenstrasse after AN ANTISEMITIC RUSSIAN COMPOSER.

Get it? Me neither.

Some historians dispute the street name’s origins and argue the word Mohr is merely old-fashioned rather than derogatory.

Nobody gets this. But nobody gets what’s going on anywhere else these days so, whatever.

An episode of sitcom Fawlty Towers has been taken off UKTV’s streaming service because it contains “racial slurs”.

The BBC-owned platform said it had made The Germans unavailable while it carries out a review.

In the 1975 episode, Basil Fawlty declares “don’t mention the war” around German guests, while the Major uses highly offensive language about the West Indies cricket team.

“One of the things I’ve learned in the last 180 years is that people have very different senses of humour.”

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation has conducted a survey of 1,106 German academics about free speech and discovered that 20% reject Israel’s existence.

Not all that surprising really, once you consider that a German government study in 2017 found 40% of the population infected with “contemporary antisemitism.” The university folks are just more enlightened, I guess.

“Based on Israel’s policies, I can understand people having something against the Jews.”

That means un-word or taboo word. Which brings us to the German un-word of the year 2019: Klimahysterie.

Hysteria

That means “climate hysteria” (ín German it’s one word).

A “language critical” jury has selected climate hysteria as the taboo word of the year 2019. The rationale behind the decision is that it “slanders the climate protection movement and its efforts.”

Yes, as a matter of fact it does. But this wasn’t a “political critical” decision, it was a “language critical” one, right? The Brain Police are everywhere, people. Everywhere, I tell you…

Eine sprachkritische Jury hat “Klimahysterie” zum Unwort des Jahres 2019 gekürt, Ausdruck würden “Klimaschutzbemühungen und die Klimaschutzbewegung diffamiert und Debatten diskreditiert”, hieß es zur Begründung.
