German Stocks Lifted by Demise of Scholz’s Fractious Coalition – German stocks leapt on Thursday after the country’s unpopular coalition government started to unravel, sparking hopes that early elections next year will bring a much needed economic boost.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz, a Social Democrat, brought an end to his three-party alliance with the Greens and fiscally conservative Free Democrats late Wednesday when he sacked FDP Finance Minister Christian Lindner. Scholz called for the next scheduled election to be brought forward to March from September, but the opposition wants it sooner.

Yes, the Scholz government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit on Wednesday. CDU leader Friedrich Merz is clearly critical of this.

When asked whether Germany would comply with a decision by the court, the Scholz spokesperson said only briefly: “Of course, we comply with the law.”

We don’t all smoke weed in Germany, Scholz assures Chinese students – Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Monday reassured Chinese students in Shanghai that they did not have to smoke cannabis if they studied in Germany and that Germany had legalised cannabis hoping that consumption would go down.

Scholz made the comments in response to a question from a student at Tongji University, who asked whether he would have to smoke cannabis if he studied in Germany, as the drug was not legal in China.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) said this months ago. He has always been ahead of his time, I guess.

That’s why the current fabricated frenzy about the AfD party allegedly planning the same thing doesn’t make much sense. But Scholz is a social democratic (socialist) goody-two-shoes kinda guy so the mass deportation he is demanding must be a nicer and more “social” kind. If he says “we have to deport people more often and faster,” nobody cares. That it’s all talk and no walk and none of these deportations will ever take place in Germany is another story altogether.

Funny what a few months and the continued success of of the AfD at the polls can make. But nothing has been orchestrated here, folks. Just move along please.

“Same procedure as last year?“

Olaf will be dinning alone this year, methinks. It’s not like anybody who doesn’t have to will be celebrating New Years with this guy. Much less listening to anything he has to say.

In his New Year‘s address, Chancellor Olaf Scholz said Germany would have to change in the face of a “more unsettled and harsher,” world but was certain the country would “get through it.”
