That’s the “correct” way to view those who question placing restrictions on the unvaccinated in Germany.

They have to be Nazis, you see. Otherwise they might be rational human beings with reasonable arguments against these government restrictions. Then one would have to address these arguments. And then the government restrictions wouldn’t make any sense. And we can’t have the government looking like its restrictive policies don’t make any sense now, can we?

And here you thought Joe Biden was good at hightailing it – and of course he’s world class, let’s face it. Just watch how he leaves a press conference if you don’t believe me. But the Germans are abandoning Kabul and the tens of thousands of Afghans who helped them TODAY. They’re not even going to wait for Joe’s deadline of August 31. Sorry, I meant of course the Taliban’s deadline. They call the shots in Washington now.

The “West” may be clinically dead, but it’s reassuring to know that the reflex of our collective, knee-jerk obsession with guilt still works.

German CO2 Doesn’t Stink

Well, not usually.

Distracted while showing the rest of the world how to best go green, sneaky German greenhouse emissions grew by the largest leap since 1990.

Germany is forecast to slip back below the threshold it had set for cutting greenhouse gases by 2020, amid a post-pandemic recovery and unfavorable conditions for renewable energy, according to a report by an environmental think tank Sunday.

Berlin-based Agora Energiewende examined data from the first half of 2021 to forecast that total emissions in Germany this year will be equivalent to somewhere between 760 million to 812 million tons of CO2.

This would put Germany’s emissions about 35-39% below 1990 levels. The German government had pledged to achieve cuts of 40% by 2020 — a target it claimed to have reached last year, in large part due to the pandemic-related economic downturn.

This year’s rebound of about 47 million tons of carbon dioxide in 2021 would be the biggest increase since 1990, Agora Energiewende said.

Germany to Stop Free COVID-19 Tests – Germany wants to end free coronavirus tests in October, the RND group of newspapers reported on Monday, citing a draft proposal to be discussed by Chancellor Angela Merkel and leaders of the country’s 16 states.

The government made the tests free for all in March to make a gradual return to normal life possible after a lockdown to break a third wave of COVID-19.

But the lives of those who do not get a coronavirus vaccine will soon be severely restricted. Ain’t no big deal. You’re all having rotten ristricted lives right now already anyway.

These Querdenker (people who think outside the box) keep thinking outside the box so it’s time to box them up and move them out.

Judges in the German capital have moved to ban a number of weekend demonstrations amid fears they will lead to a rise in coronavirus infections. Police expect protesters to travel to Berlin nonetheless…

The upper court said the Querdenker movement was characterized throughout Germany “by the fact that the participants used them to violate legal norms created to contain the risk of infection in a way that attracted public attention, in particular by disregarding the social distance requirement and the mask requirement.”

As you may have noticed, Angela Merkel’s CDU became the SPD (Social Democrats) long ago and Armin Laschet, her designated mini-me survivor, is holding that red flag high. As you also may have noticed, the only thing socialists do well (or Social Democrats – or Democrats, for that matter) is spend other people’s money.

Armin Laschet, Germany’s leading candidate to replace Chancellor Angela Merkel, has created a rift between German conservative parties over his comments that now is not the time for tax relief.

Laschet, representing Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU), on Sunday categorically rejected a proposal for new tax cuts as Germans emerge from the pandemic. “The core message is no tax cuts right now — we don’t have the money for it,” he said in a televised interview.
