Or maybe even Raubtierkapitalismus (predatory capitalism)! Or something else like that.
People really are confused these days, don’t you think? Not that they weren’t in the past. I just think they’re better at it now. Being confused.
Berlin’s budget chain cafes attacked by mobs of hard-Left activists – Protesters in Berlin are hurling red paint at outlets for a new chain that offers drinks at nearly half the price of others.

German activist Maja T. goes on hunger strike in Hungary
German anti-fascist activist Maja T. has been held in isolation in a Hungarian prison for one year now. The case highlights the state of the rule of law in Viktor Orban’s Hungary.
If we could only figure out how they get into these near-insurmountable high-security facilities.
Maybe then we could finally find a way to stop them.
Germany: Climate activists block four airports – Cologne/Bonn airport announced it was suspending flights after an “unauthorized intrusion.” Protestors said they were also targeting air hubs in Stuttgart, Nuremberg, and Berlin.
Letzte Generation or “Last Generation” climate activists had promised demonstrations at several German airports this week.
They shared footage of themselves blocking the runway in Cologne, as well as in Stuttgart. The group also claimed to be blocking traffic in Berlin.
Alarm as German climate activists charged with ‘forming a criminal organisation’ – Action against Letzte Generation could have ‘immense chilling effect’ on climate protest, campaigners say…
According to prosecutors in the state of Brandenburg, the charges relate to more than a dozen “attacks” against oil refineries, the Berlin-Brandenburg airport and the Museum Barberini, in Potsdam, between April 2022 and May 2023.
The incidents include protests in which supporters of the group attempted to switch off oil pumping stations leading to the refinery, blocked airport runways and threw mashed potatoes at an oil painting by Monet.
Prosecutors said the charges applied to a subgroup of Letzte Generation, a Germany-wide campaign that has led to thousands of arrests in the past two years.
Protesters attempt to storm Germany’s Tesla factory – Hundreds of climate protesters have clashed with police in Germany after attempting to storm the Tesla factory near Berlin.
Several people were injured, including three police officers, during Friday’s demonstration against the proposed expansion of the electric car giant’s only European plant.
First, German climate activists of the “last generation” kind decided to glue themselves to the roads (and boy have those roads ever been cold these days).
Now they’ve decided to up the ante and begin organizing “disobedient assemblies.”
The next thing you know they’ll be holding hands and breath together until they turn blue in the face! This senseless escalation of violence must finally come to an end, people. I mean it.
German climate activists to stop gluing themselves to roads – Climate group the Last Generation said they will no longer glue themselves to roads as a protest method. They will now use the tactic of organizing “disobedient assemblies.”
PS: German of the day: Wütend (the guy with the sign). That means angry.
The climate scientist who faces getting fired for refusing to fly back to Germany from the Solomon Islands.
Dr Gianluca Grimalda told by Kiel Institute for World Economy he must be at his desk on Monday after finishing fieldwork – A climate researcher has been threatened with the sack by his employer after refusing to fly back to Germany at short notice after finishing fieldwork in the Solomon Islands archipelago.
On Friday Dr Gianluca Grimalda, an environmental campaigner who refuses to fly on principle, was told by his employer, Germany’s Kiel Institute for World Economy, that if he was not at his desk on Monday he would no longer have a job to return to.
Instead this week he was still waiting in Buka Town, Bougainville, to embark on a cargo ship to begin his journey back to Europe, after six months studying the impact of climate change and globalisation on communities in Papua New Guinea.

They better make those protestors put everything back in the orange-inal condition.
Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate Spray-Painted by Climate Activists – Climate activists sprayed orange and yellow paint on the columns of Berlin’s landmark Brandenburg Gate on Sunday to push demands for a stop to the use of fossil fuels by 2030.
“Members of the so-called ‘Last Generation’ sprayed the columns on the east side of the Brandenburg Gate with orange paint from fire extinguishers during the morning,” Berlin police said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
It added that police officers noticed a hydraulic lift was being operated at the gate and they kept the protesters from scaling the landmark building. They arrested all 14 protesters at the site and launched an investigation into property damage.
All homes of those who “violate a law that regulates the production and transfer of war weapons” need to be.
German prosecutors raid home of pro-Kremlin activists – German prosecutors said on Monday they searched the home of two pro-Kremlin activists under suspicion that they violated a law that regulates the production and transfer of war weapons.
The activists – Max Schlund and his romantic partner Elena Kolbasnikova – have organised multiple rallies protesting Germany’s support of Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion last year.
Reuters reported in January that Schlund and Kolbasnikova donated funds collected from supporters in Germany to a Russian army division fighting in Ukraine, and the money was used to purchase walkie-talkie radios, headphones and telephones.
German prosecutors searched the couple’s home in March as they looked for evidence to corroborate Reuters’ reporting.
Ulf Willuhn, a representative of the Cologne public prosecutors, confirmed on Monday the raid was conducted over suspicions of a violation of the War Weapons Control Act, but denied it was connected to their aid for Donbas in eastern Ukraine.
Now it’s much too wet, wet, wet! All it does is rain in Germany these days. But don’t worry, because you’re still allowed to worry. Ask any climate activist. In both cases “the Climate Crisis” is to blame. It’s science. I mean, pseudoscience.
Rhine river levels in Germany back to normal after rain – Heavy rain has raised water on the river Rhine in Germany to levels allowing cargo vessels to sail fully loaded, data from German inland waterways agency WSA said on Wednesday.
Data from the WSA’s website Pegelonline showed that the last shallow sectors of the river around Cologne had now reached levels generally permitting full vessel loads.
Dry weather in June meant the river became too shallow for vessels to sail fully loaded and ship operators imposed surcharges on freight rates to compensate for vessels sailing partly empty, increasing costs for cargo owners.
